Health foods in Germany are enjoying rapid growth, reports The Royal Society of Chemistry. The entire health market in Germany has a volume of DM 130 bn (Euro 6bn) and the health food market has a volume of DM 1.2 bn. The market in A-C-E drinks (juices and milk products to which the vitamins provitamin A, C and E are added) rose almost 40 per cent in 2000 to DM 250 millionThe potential of high margins has led many fruit juice producers, dairies and mineral springs to include health drinks in their portfolio.
