Dutch supermarkets group Koninklijke Ahold NV announced on Friday that it is to sell the tea and wine activities of its unit Marvelo, which manufactures private label products for its Dutch chain Albert Heijn. Ahold said in a statement that Dutch Baarsma Holding BV would take over Marvelo's wine bottling operations, while German Laurens Spethman Holdingwould buy the thee activities. No financial details were disclosed. Earlier this year, Ahold, the world's third biggest supermarket chain in sales terms, signed agreements to sell Marvelo's peanut and nut activities, chocolate businesses and tortilla chip business.
