A staggering 63 per cent of Americans will choose to drink bottled water this summer, according to a recently published survey for the International Bottled Water Association ( IBWA). The report, conducted by Wirthlin Worldwide, also indicates that of the consumers surveyed, 28 per cent said theywould likely drink bottled water outdoors at places like the beach or at the park although consumers. But although consumers might choose bottled water the majority is unaware that bottled water is subject to federal, state and industry standards to ensure its safety and quality. The survey indicates that three out of four Americans (73 per cent) remain unaware that bottled water is regulated. According to Wirthlin Worldwide the survey is based on a national quorum. The twice-monthly omnibus survey is stratified by census region and weighted to represent the U.S. population's gender, education and ethnicity composure.
