Ingredients Africa-Arabia will be held in Cairo, Egypt on September 1 to 4. It is the first international exhibition for food ingredients, additives and flavourings in the Middle East and North African (MENA) area. Exhibitors include food ingredients manufacturers from Europe, Asia and countries of the MENA region. Approximately 8,500 international and regional visitors are expected, including representatives of food companies and of R&D, consultants, and institutes. The regional food industry is expanding as the demand for local processed food production and packaging is growing. This event will provide the opportunity for the region's food manufacturers to catch up with the latest developments and to find out how they can use ingredients and additives to their own specific needs. The Danish food ingredients group Danisco Cultor is one of the European exhibitors and will also hold a seminar on September 1. During this seminar, three speakers, including a sales manager and two persons from the applications department, will discuss adding flavourings for still drinks, juice and nectars, FTNF flavourings for juices, flavour emulsions for low cost still drinks, juice compounds for juice drinks, and stabilisers for pulp suspension and viscosity. In addition they will review ingredients and innovative concepts for the fine bakery industry, as well as gelatine replacement in dairy products.
