Italian food company Parmalat this week announced the creation of a new organisational structure to focus on strengthening the Company's operation in North America. Parmalat USA, the Bakery Division and Parmalat Canada will be integrated under the Parmalat North America Region. The new organisation will start operating immediately and will create synergies in all Parmalat businesses. The new region, Parmalat North America, will be lead by Michael T. Rosicki, current President and CEO of Parmalat Canada. Headquarters will be in Toronto, Canada. Aldo Uva, current President and CEO of Parmalat USA & Mexico, is to leave the company. Parmalat has over 162 plants and more than 40,000 employees on five continents. It markets a variety of food products, including: milk and dairy products, such as ice cream, yoghurt, butter and cheese; fruit and tomato juice; vegetables soups and tomato sauce; and bakery products. Its products are sold under the Parmalat brand name and in North America under regional brands such as Farmland Dairies, Skim Plus, Welsh Farms, Sunnydale, Beatrice and Lactantia.
