ADM increases ownership of InTrade

Grain processor Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) is to increase its ownership in InTrade and Alfred C. Toepfer International, the company announced this week.

Grain processor Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) is to increase its ownership in InTrade and Alfred C. Toepfer International, the company announced this week.

Based in Hamburg, Germany, Toepfer International is a global merchandiser and supplier of oilseeds, feed grains and related products and services with 40 offices worldwide.

ADM will acquire an additional 10 per cent of the InTrade stock, increasing ownership to 60 per cent of InTrade and 80 per cent of Toepfer International.

The agreement is due to become effective in 2002 as soon as clearance arrives from the antitrust authorities.

Since 1982 ADM and InTrade have followed an active partnership policy in Alfred C. Toepfer International, Hamburg, Germany, one of the world's leading grain, feedstuff and oilseed trading companies.
