The intricacies of phosphatidylserine (PS) are explained in a new website for the food and health industry launched by Degussa BioActives, the nutritional ingredient business unit of Degussa.
The online tool aims to provide comprehensive information on the scientific validation and advancement of phosphatidylserine (PS), and Degussa's PS brand, Leci-PS.
"We have designed the new website to be a destination site for the companion dietary supplement and functional food market sectors," said Wolfgang Schütt, vice-president of marketing and sales.
Information available on the site includes an explanation of the chemistry and biological functions of PS, applications of Leci-PS, a presentation of the 25 most frequently asked questions about phosphatidyl serine, phospholipids, and Leci-PS, and technical data sheets.
"As the nutrition industry continues to expand with new research and new products, it becomes imperative to offer manufacturers, retailers and consumers a comprehensive and cogent educational tool," concludes Schütt.
