Beth Jones was appointed to the position of product manager for fresh dairy and probiotic, responsible for managing product portfolios, coordinating product launches and new business opportunities for fresh dairy cultures in North America, and probiotic cultures globally.
Jones joined the Danisco team when the company purchased Rhodia last year, as did her colleague Jeffrey Downer, who became director of marketing in this round of promotions and Scott Bush became business development director for the culture and probiotics division.
Non-Rhodia appointments include that of John Breeden to the position of director of sales, where he will be responsible for business development in several of the growth areas of the company including the AvGard group, culinary, health and wellness and the fruit preparation group.
Likwise, Mike Parsons was appointed dairy sales director, charged with developing strategies and tactics to bring prominece to the company's dairy products.
Meanwhile, Shannon Neuens will henceforth be business development specialist for cheese cultures and enzymes for North America, aiming to develop new business opportunities for cheese ingredients in the region.
Danisco aqcuired Rhodia in June 2004 for DK2.4 billion, strengthening the company's position in the European and US market.
