The Altay-Batyushka brand from Russia's Hleb Altaya (Altay Bread) group has been voted the best food product from the Altay region, the bread basket of Russia. Angela Drujinina reports.Altay-Batyushka is a range of bakery and flour products, and is the flagship brand of Hleb Altaya, the region's leading grain processor with accounting for some 10 per cent of the local crop. As well as winning two awards for Altay-Batyushka in the Best Food Product category, Hleb Altaya also took an award for quality, which was presented to the company's general director, Serghei Nocolaevici Stolbov.

"This is the third year in a row that our products have won this award, clear proof of their quality, and a vindication of the work we have put in to improve product quality and promoting our brands," said Hleb Altaya's PR manager Natalia Sevriukova.

The Altay-Batyushka range will now be able to carry the 'Best Altay Product of the Year' logo, a useful marketing tool.
