Sensor companies create temperature monitoring system

Two sensor industry companies have joined forces to develop new method for monitoring temperature using wireless sensors.

Conax Buffalo Technologies and Sensicast Systems say they will target the systems at the food and beverage sector, among other industries. The new Conax-Sensicast system will deliver continuous remote monitoring of environments and processes for tighter temperature range control.

Such systems will lead to improvements in process, throughput and cost-efficiencies, the companies claimed in a press release.

"By integrating Conax's sensors with Sensicast's wireless technology, we'll be able to offer a reliable, best in class temperature measurement system," said Gary Ambrosino, Sensicast's chief executive officer.

Conax will become Sensicast's global marketing manager for sales. Conax sells through sales offices in 25 countries. The companies will jointly develop, test, deploy and market the systems.

Conax Buffalo designs, engineers and manufactures temperature sensors and temperature transmitters.

The SensiNet Conax system includes temperature sensors, a wireless sensor network, and intelligent sensors.
