Amcor, Mocon make key appointments

Amcor has announced it has changed its chief financial officer (CFO) while Mocon confirmed it has a new food safety product manager.

Australia-based packaging giant Amcor said that current CFO Leslie Desjardins Officer is to leave the firm to pursue other career interests. Ron Delia has been appointed as her replacement and will start on 1 February 2011.

He joined the company in September 2005 and is currently General Manager Rigid Plastics - Central and South America.

Meanwhile, US-based Mocon, which expanded into the food safety arena after acquiring a minority stake in by Luxcel Biosciences Limited, Cork, Ireland, has appointed Mark Theno as food product safety manager.

Company president and chief executive officer Robert Demorest said Theno’s experience as a strategic sales and marketing professional, as well as an analytical chemist, made him ideally suited to oversee its new food safety product line.
