Cambridge launches open access nutrition journal

The Nutrition Society and Cambridge University Press have added to their stable of nutrition titles with a just-launched open access journal.

Cambridge said the Journal of Nutritional Science will allow a greater number of nutrition studies to win peer-reviewed publication.

Philip Calder, editor of the British Journal of Nutrition, will be the editor-in-chief and he said: “It is exciting to be involved in this new excursion into open access publishing which will ensure that The Nutrition Society is able to publish even more high-quality papers expanding its service to authors and to readers.”

“I am sure that fast publication and wide availability of papers, whilst maintaining the high scientific and presentation standards of BJN, will be welcomed by all.”

Cambridge’s other nutrition titles are Public Health Nutrition, Proceedings of the Nutrition Society and Nutrition Research Reviews.
