Speaking with us at the HiE show in Frankfurt this morning, Antoine Dauby, secretary of the foundation, said the move paid homage to former CEO Jacques Dikansky, who passed away on 30 September 2012.
Dauby said the Naturex board of directors decided the Naturex Foundation, initially set up by Dikansky, should be renamed the ‘Naturex Foundation-Jacques Dikansky’.
He said that the adding of the former CEO and founder’s name to the foundation pays homage to his contribution to the creation of the foundation, and shows that Naturex “are committed to pursuing his work by continuing our active role in the area of social and environmental responsibility.”
“We believe in what we do, not just what we say,” said Dauby. “Sustainability is more than about focusing on a standard set of goals and our Foundation is one of the ways to shape our business in the best interests of the communities where we source our raw materials.”

Dauby explained to us that the work of the foundation is dedicated to improving life conditions in communities from which the French firm derives plant materials.
“The Foundation supports in particular education, medicine, environment and basic necessities, outside of any economic interest,” he said.
“This ambitious project is a long term engagement for Naturex and demonstrates its commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and to sustainable development.”
