Throughout the Meat World Cup we will be following the format of the FIFA World Cup and posting the results of each group, then stage, with countries competing on volumes of meat production, based on the official figures from the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation.

In the group stages the countries competed on levels of poultry meat production. The second round sees them competing on beef, the quarter finals will be pork, and the semi-finals lamb.

Finally, the two countries through to the Meat World Cup final will face off on a combination of all four proteins, with the largest producer announced the winner.
