NSF International acquisition Knight International Inspectorate
Global public health organisation NSF International has acquired Knight International Inspectorate, a move that will expand its food safety certification services in the UK and Ireland.

The collaboration will be known as NSF Knight.

NSF International writes standards, and tests and certifies products for the food, water and consumer goods industries in order to reduce adverse health effects and protect the environment.

Knight International Inspectorate is a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) certification company, focusing on food safety. Certifications include GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative); ISO quality management systems, and industry schemes such as FSSC 22000 (food and packaging).

The acquisition strengthens NSF International’s offer in the UK, while Knight customers can access various food safety testing, auditing, certification and training services, as well as benefit from specialist knowledge in areas such as agriculture, horticulture and seafood.

Phillip Knight, managing director, NSF Knight, said the company will offer cost and time savings to companies in the UK and Ireland, as well as multinational organisations operating in the region.
