ScanBelt launches new conveyor at AgroProdMash

A new conveyor for food processors aimed at the Russian market and developed in collaboration with hygiene specialists is to be launched by ScanBelt at the AgroProdMash 2015 show.

The new belt is designed with an opening that ensures easy cleaning and less damage to food, according to ScanBelt.

“Significant development in hygiene requirements and food safety over the past ten years has influenced demands from the Russian market,” said Carl Erik Taxbro, vice president of sales and export at ScanBelt.

“It has to be easy and straightforward for food producers to reduce bacteria on food. Therefore, this conveyor belt is designed with a more open design than any other on the market. This secures an easier cleaning process, which results in better hygiene.”

“The opening of the new belt ensures less damage to the food, because it is customised according to our customers’ products. This means that the food manufacturers benefit from a more effective production,” Taxbro added.

The belt, has been designed to allow it to be configured in numerous ways. “For the manufacturers, this means that the belt can be applied to existing production lines, with tailor-made solutions in proportion to size and various accessories, which enables the belt to perform various tasks,” Taxbro said.

ScanBelt is a Danish manufacturer of modular plastic conveyor belts. It has been a supplier to major food processors worldwide with a particularly strong customer base in Russia.

Trade show AgroProdMash is being held between 5 and 9 October in Moscow.
