The firm will also present immunoaffinity columns for mycotoxin analysis and a system for high-throughput detection of amantadine residues in poultry at the meeting from September 27-30.
Bioo Scientific will also host poster sessions, “Development of a Rapid Immunoassay to Determine Ochratoxin A in Oat Samples”, “Improved Methods for Detecting Sulfite, a Prevalent Food Preservative”, “Rapid, High-Throughput ELISA Assay for Amantadine Detection in Poultry Samples” and “Development of a Rapid Immunoassay to Determine Histamine in Fishmeal Samples”.
Bioo Scientific’s MaxSignal Sulfite Assay Kit for screening of the sulfite preservative in food and beverage samples uses a rapid aqueous extraction, and an enzymatic reaction that takes 20 minutes and can detect 0.5 ppm of sulfite in aqueous extractions.
Dr Joe Krebs, director of protein chemistry for Bioo Scientific, said: “The MaxSignal Sulfite Assay Kit is the latest addition to Bioo Scientific’s existing line of enzymatic assays for the detection of additives and adulteration in food and feed samples.
“Our enhanced portfolio of testing products provides our customers with the best selection of high quality products for analysis in the food and feed safety industry.”
