Linden Foods brings new premium brand to international markets

Northern Irish meat processor Linden Foods has launched a new premium brand, Turf & Clover, exclusively for international markets.

The brand, aimed initially at the German market, features master butcher-selected prime steak cuts, such as mature, sirloin, rib-eye, fillet, flat iron and picanha. It also has ready-to-grill ultimate steak burgers, hand-chosen lamb loin and lamb chops.

The brand also features the Foggydew range of meals that include Asian Chicken Lollipops, Pork Saltimbocca and Chicken Tikka Kebabs.

The Co Tyrone-based company has already seen some success with its Kettyle, a specialist producer of dry-aged beef in Germany.

The company, based at Dungannon in Co Tyrone in Northern Ireland, launched the new brand to trade buyers at the recent Anuga food show in Cologne.

'Best beef cuts'

"We are very excited about our new brand and strategically chose Anuga, with a record 160,000 trade visitors from over 192 countries, to be the perfect venue to launch our concept and gauge industry reaction," said Elaine Willis, Linden’s head of innovation and business development.

"It’s a brand that we’ve developed to grow our business in Europe and, in time, the US.

"From our family of thousands of farmers and their honest and sustainable approach to land and beast, we can bring customers the best cuts of beef, lamb, pork and chicken – Irish born and bred and matured in our beautiful landscape."
