Lima extends deboning range

French machinery manufacturer Lima has demonstrated its limber line of meat-bone separators, deboners and desinewers at Germany’s triennial trade show IFFA, with a duo of launches.

The company has expanded its range with two new models, both of which have been created to help meat processors with the task of removing the sinews and tendons from beef, pork and poultry products.

The Lima RM 20 DD (short for deboner and desinewer) is the smallest deboner machine manufactured by Lima, and the company said it had been designed to help “small-scale” processors desinew meat. It has also been developed to help businesses produce structured meat products out of poultry carcases or fish, the company said.

It can process up to 200kg of chicken trimmings, per hour, or up to 300kg of chicken carcases an hour.

Many of Lima’s European customers have taken advantage of the high-quality recovered meat from Lima’s patented deboning technology, said the firm. This is because all of the machines offer high-quality textured deboned meat that does not require any pre-grinding or pre-breaking, the company said.

But just because Lima has launched its smallest machine on the market, this does not mean the company believes size does not matter. The second machine launched at IFFA by Lima – the RM 2000 S – is now the biggest meat-bone separator available on the market. Described by the company as a “major model” in its arsenal, the RM 2000 S can process up to 20,000kg of meat per hour.

Lima was established in 1981, it works in over 100 countries with 90% of its products exported outside of France.
