Using online learning for training growing in F&B sector

How the food and drink sector is changing in regards to technology when it comes to staff training and compliance is the subject of an Appetite Learning webinar this week.

Online learning (or e-learning) is becoming the training option that businesses in the food and drink sector choose - with Coca Cola, Tate & Lyle and Booths among those embracing technology to cut training costs and reduce administration.

Appetite Learning is an e-learning platform created by William Reed - the publishers of FoodQualityNews - and Virtual College, e-learning specialists with more than two million online learners.

They offer online courses for the hospitality, retail and food manufacturing industries.

Rod Knox from Virtual College will introduce online learning and answer questions about benefits it can bring to businesses, what challenges businesses face regarding training and how e-learning can benefit organisations in the food and drink sector.

Appetite Learning is supported by The Grocer, Convenience Store, Forecourt Trader, Food Manufacture, British Baker, Meat Trades Journal, Big Hospitality and the Morning Advertiser.

Sign-up for the 60-minute webinar on 21 September at 3pm BST is available here. Participants can request questions for Rod to answer and will receive a free course from Appetite Learning.
