Mérieux NutriSciences has strengthened its presence in France with the acquisition of ACM Agro.

The firm finalized the deal for 100% ownership in the privately held company which specializes in microbiological analytical services for agro-food industry players.

Founded in 1990 as a subsidiary of Teranga group, ACM Agro employs below 70 people.

ACM Agro has clients across the Centre-Val de Loire, Ile-de-France and Pays de la Loire regions with accredited laboratories in Quiers-sur-Bezonde (Loiret) and Sablé-sur-Sarthe (Sarthe).

Our ambitions for ACM Agro have naturally led us to get closer to and join Mérieux NutriSciences which shares the values that have made ACM Agro’s success,” saidthe founders of ACM Agro.

Philippe Sans, president and CEO of Mérieux NutriSciences, said the acquisition will complete the geographical presence in France for industrial customers.

Mérieux NutriSciences said it will continue developing the two sites and extend the physico-chemistry range.

The firm now operates nine sites in France strengthening its network of private analytical labs in the country.
