The Tentamus Group has acquired a specialised laboratory for the food and agricultural market in Sicily (Siracusa, Italy).

Almolab was founded in 2012 by Monica Agnello and its lab covers 500 square metres.

The site is the first Sicilian Lab to get German QS approval for residue monitoring on fruit, vegetables and potatoes.

The acquisition will enlarge Tentamus Group’s geographical reach in Italy.

Nicola Berruti, CEO of Tentamus Italy, said with its food lab in Ravenna ‘Agriparadigma’, the group will be able to better serve customers in the food and agricultural industry.

Agnello said joining the group will boost expertise on a country-wide level.

“We are working with Tentamus Agriparadigma since years and it has always been a brilliant cooperation which created additional value for our customers. The acquisition will give our laboratory the opportunity to grow in the Sicilian market and also with international clients.”
