Italian cheese maker Granarolo is launching a new brand of cut cheeses that it said are modern, convenient, practical and premium.
The range, APPETiSi, will target the French and European markets.
It consists of cheddar, maasdam, mozzarella and edam cheese slices; emmental, gouda and cheddar cheese bites; cheddar and emmental zigzags; emmental & cheddar and emmental sticks; grated mimolette and mozzarella & emmental; mozzarella, emmental and mimolette & edam cubes.
Walter Rau Lebensmittelwerke is launching its “Good on Bread” Deli Reform spread.
The refrigerated spread offers what the company describes as a “unique recipe”, combining butter, rapeseed oil and buttermilk. The high proportion of buttermilk and a “special stirring process” give the spread a “creamy-fresh taste”, the German spreads-to-oils specialist noted.
The line will be available throughout Germany in discount, hypermarket and supermarket stores with an RRP of €1.59. The launch will be supported by an advertising campaign, including digital, and a “large” tasting initiative in retail stores.
Mondelez International is expanding its chewing gum offering in Russia as part of its summer promotional campaign.
The US-based confectionery giant is adding a new variety to its Dirol X-Fresh line of minty and fruity chewing gums with the addition of a flavour that combines the "sweet taste of ripe blueberries and citrus freshness".
"This combination will not leave anyone indifferent," the company said in a statement.
Building on the success of its organic soups, Escoffier is launching a range of organic vegan stews in Germany.
"The new Escoffier organic stews are trendy refined and can be easily prepared in the microwave," the company said.
The range is available in glass jars and Escoffier said it has utilised a special "thermo label" that means consumers can safety handle the stews right out of the microwave.
The line consists of three SKUs: Escoffier Organic Carrot Stew, Escoffier Organic Bean Stew and Escoffier Organic Beetroot White Cabbage Stew. All of the products are lactose and gluten free and none of the stews contain artificial additives or preservatives.
Escoffier Organic Stew will be available throughout Germany at supermarket and hypermarket retailers with a recommended retail price of €3.29.
UK gluten-free baker Genius has unveiled two new high fibre vegetable-based wraps: Fibre Fest Beetroot and Fibre Fest Kale.
The wraps contain three times more fibre and one-third fewer carbohydrates than regular wraps. The also contain chicory root inulin, a prebiotic fibre.
The launch is part of a new Good for the Gut line that Genius is rolling out this year. Products are gluten-free and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
The wraps will hit the shelves in Tesco this month, with Sainsbury's and Ocado planning to stock them from September. They have an RRP of £2.75 a pack.
UK chocolate maker Montezuma is launching an organic dairy-free, milk chocolate alternative range.
The line will consist of two chocolate tablets - Like No Udder original and Like No Udder with orange. The vegan-friendly line was made using rice powder instead of cows milk, the company revealed.
Montezuma said that the bars will be available from October for £2.99 via the company's website and UK stores.
Beverage group WOW is debuting its latest, low calorie, low sugar, non-dairy, vegan, organic cold-pressed juice line, Good Bacteria, at Sainsbury's in the UK.
The company said each bottle contains more than one billion 'good bacteria'. The probiotic contained in the beverage is the Bacillus coagulans strain.
Available in two new flavours, Raspberry & Apple and Orange & Mango, the drinks contain fewer than 20 calories a bottle and are free from preservatives, additives and sweeteners.
Australian firm Slender is introducing its konjac noodle and pasta products and ready-to-eat meals to the UK.
Made from an Asian plant, Amorphophallis konjac, the company claims its konjac-based noodle, rice and pasta items have an increased satiating effect. They are higher in fibre and lower in calories than traditional rice or pastas.
The line of ready meals consists of three recipes: Organic Italian Capers and Olives Sauce; Arrabbiata Sauce; and Organic Italian Basil Sauce.
The products are available at Morrisons supermarkets nationwide. The konjac pasta range is currently on sale with an RRP of £2.50, with the ready-to-eat meals available from £4.50.
German retailer Kaufland is launching an own label line of products that are free from gluten and lactose, called K-Free.
Lactose free products, which will be available in purple packaging, include 20 new items, such as yoghurt, whipped cream, milk and quark, butter, sour cream and cheese. In orange packaging, the food retailer will offer 16 additional gluten-free products, such as pasta, bread, rolls, baking mixes, muffins and organic cereals.
Kaufland said the range was developed in partnership with its suppliers in response to increasing food intolerance among German consumers.
Amsterdam-based Magioni has launched two "new exclusive" vegetable pizza bases in UK retailer Waitrose.
The company is rolling out a Courgette Pizza Crust, which contains 63g of vegetables, and a Cauliflower Pizza Crust, containing 67g of veggies.
Announcing the move, Waitrose noted both items are suitable for vegetarians. The retailer suggested that the "kid friendly" options also provide parents with a way of feeding their children hidden veggies.
Aileen Wood, Waitrose Pizza Buyer commented: “With the increase in popularity of “flexitarian” diets and more customers looking for alternative ways to eat fruit and veg, the Magioni pizza crusts are a great way of getting more veg into your diet."
The pizza crusts are made from 35% or more vegetables and are priced at £3.29 for two bases.
