US-based alternative meat producer Beyond Meat has extended its product offering into the UK’s foodservice industry by launching its Beyond Burger into pub chain All Bar One.

Launched as part of World Vegan Day (30 October), the Beyond Burger will be priced at £12.95 and will become part of the chain’s vegan menu.

All Bar One, which has 56 outlets across the UK, claims to be first UK foodservice outlet to partner with the California-based company.

The Beyond Burger is primarily made with pea protein and includes no soy, gluten or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

All Bar One said the launch followed its successful month during ‘Veganuary’, with a 50% increase in the number of vegan dishes sold in 2018 compared to last year.

All Bar One has embraced the popularity of veganism and we are excited to introduce the plant-based burger with Beyond Meat to our existing menu,” said All Bar One’s operations director Alex Dawson.

As the bar brand with the most momentum on the high street in the eyes of British consumers, we are proud to be the first nationwide bar to introduce this new innovation to our food menu.”

The Beyond Burger made its debut in the UK in May this year after the company announced a distribution deal with frozen food supplier The Authentic Food Co to roll out the products into supermarkets.

Shortly after the deal, Tesco announced that it would be rolling out the Beyond Burger in more than 350 stores around the UK.
