IFFA 2019 to celebrate 70th anniversary
Running from 4-9 May 2019 at the Messe Frankfurt, Germany, the event will focus on four key themes, including food safety, optimised production, resource efficiency and food trends, and will feature a new exhibition hall.
Optimised production is a constantly recurring topic, according to IFFA, which said it believed meat industry companies could save time and costs by using co-ordinated production processes.
Discussions will also take place on resource efficiency to establish ways of cutting costs for meat businesses, while industry experts will outline the latest food trends and food safety measures.
The new ‘Hall 12’ will also expand the IFFA exhibition space by 8% compared with last year. The hall will be used for manufacturers to present innovative technologies, trends and future-oriented solutions for all stages of the meat processing chain.
Richard Clemens, managing director of the VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association and a partner of IFFA, said that, for machinery manufacturers, IFFA was the most important international platform.
“Its clear positioning enables exhibitors and visitors from all over the world to prepare efficiently, to obtain a comprehensive overview and, therefore, to achieve a future-oriented trade fair experience,” said Clemens.
“Nowhere else can you find so many experts and such a broad spectrum of innovations, ideas and business models revolving around the most valuable of all foodstuffs – meat.”
The show is expected welcome 1,000 exhibitors from 50 countries and more than 60,000 trade visitors from 140 countries.
