Volker Gerloff will step down from the company

Packaging equipment provider Multivac has announced that the CEO of its Marking & Inspection division is to step down.

Volker Gerloff is to withdraw from the company, and his responsibilities spread to a new management team. Dr Hendrik Frank will take over the engineering and technology side, while Karsten Strothmann will manage sales responsibilities and Julia Timpe will take over administration.

Guido Spix, director and CTO/COO of Multivac, praised Gerloff’s contributions to the business.

“Through his efforts during the last 25 years, Mr Gerloff has contributed significantly to the development and integration of the company into the Multivac Group.”

Multivac Marking & Inspection is one of the leading manufacturers of labelling systems and direct web printers. The company, previously called MR Etikettiertechnik, was founded in 1972 in Enger, Westphalia, and has been part of the Multivac Group since 1993.

Its range of products extends from cross web labellers, through transport conveyor labellers and link chain labellers, right up to carton labellers and direct web printers. It also produces inspection systems such as checkweighers, metal detectors and X-ray inspection equipment that can be integrated into packaging lines.
