Icelandic processor Marel has appointed Roger Claessens as EVP of its poultry division.

From 1 September, Anton de Weerd will step down as Marel Poultry’s EVP, with current director of innovation Roger Claessens taking over the role. De Weerd will take on a new role within Marel.

Claessens has already spent 18 years at Marel and gained extensive management experience. In his role as director of innovation over the past five years, he has headed up Marel’s innovations for the poultry industry.
