‘Unmissable international platform for industry professionals and consumers’ returns to its spiritual home to celebrate chocolate and cocoa with a new identity, content and packed five-day program in Paris.

Twenty five years on – ‘and as sexy as ever!’ is the theme at this year’s Salon du Chocolat, which opens in Paris on October 30, running until November 3 at the Porte de Versailles.

In a packed program, the world’s largest event dedicated to chocolate, cocoa and pastry features new content and a brand-new visual identity traversing over 20,000 sqm of exhibition space.

Nearly 500 participants, including exhibitors, chefs and pastry chefs, chocolatiers, experts, authors and artists, will be present and organizers are expecting over 100,000 visitors as the event goes from strength to strength, with Salons popping up all over the world.

French chocolate

This is the only show to focus the spotlight firmly on chocolate and pastry professionals and their products, a proud landmark on the world’s culinary scene. The Salon is also a proud supporter of the French chocolate, promoting the country’s finest chocolates and chocolatiers around the world,” a spokesperson for the organizers, Event International, said.

Pastry will play a prominent part of this year’s Salon as it pays homage to the world’s top pastry chefs with dedicated cake-themed events.

Specially convened ‘Chocosphere’ conferences will see experts debating the hottest topics in the industry, with a focus on Women in Chocolate. Among this year’s other topics are: Chocolate & Pastry of the Future; The 25th Anniversary of the Salon du Chocolat, and Healthy Food & Veggie Trend.

International Cocoa Awards

The International Cocoa Awards, a regular fixture at Salon Du Chocolat, are celebrating their 10th birthday this year. Created and run by Bioversity International and Event International, it brings together producers from around the world to honour the importance of their work and promote high quality cocoa. This year’s awards will see 50 cocoa-producing countries showcasing their work to chocolatiers and the press at a ceremony on October 30, 7.30pm.

To Kick off the 25 anniversary celebrations, the event has organized an opening night party on Tuesday October 29, which will include a concert and fashion show, and the retelling of the history of chocolate, from the discovery of cocoa 500 years ago to the present day.
