The World Butchers’ Challenge is offering an opportunity for brands to be associated with the best of the international butchery industry.

Ahead of the 2020 iteration of the competition which promises to be the biggest yet, businesses are being invited to get involved in the biggest butchery competition on the planet.

According to organisers, the World Butchers’ Challenge is now more than just a two-day spectacle, “rather it’s a global community of butchers with an ethos based on learning, sharing and fostering a great good for the industry”.

The areas of the competition still available for partnership include: World Butchers’ Challenge All Stars Team; World Champion Butcher Apprentice and Young Butcher competition; World’s Best Pork Product; World’s Best Lamb Product; World’s Best Beef Product; World’s Best Chicken Product and World’s Best Burger.

“This event is growing at lightning speed and each day - new doors are opened in terms of opportunity for expansion,” said World Butchers’ Challenge Chairman Rod Slater. “We still have the ability to flesh out partnerships that can be adapted to suit specific needs for organisations with the right fit. This is the time to scope out what that looks like, before this rocketship of ours truly takes off.”

The competition, taking place on 4 & 5 September 2020 at the Golden 1 Centre in Sacramento, is conducted over a three hour and fifteen-minute period with 16 international teams of six given a selection of carcasses which they must then transform into a themed display of value-added products. Independent judges score each team based on technique and skill, workmanship, product innovation, overall finish and presentation.
