Highlights from FoodNavigator's line-up of new products being launched in Europe include a new natural energy brand alongside fresh ways to promote gut health and enjoy international flavours from home.

Schwartauer Werke is rolling out a 'snackable alternative' to coffee-to-go with the new Corny Energy brand.
The new nut bar contains 'an extra portion of caffeine' from the guarana fruit, the German food maker revealed. Schwartauer Werke said the bars contain the same caffeine content as a cup of espresso 'thanks to the superfood guarana'.
The bars will be available in three new varieties: almond & chocolate; peanut, coffee & dark chocolate; and hazelnut, date & forest honey.
The new brand will be available nationwide throughout Germany from May.
Appel Feinkost has introduced a line extension to its range of tinned fish: herring fillets in Skye sauce.
The German fish and delicatessen specialist said that the new launch, which contains sustainable MSC-certified herring, meets the trend towards healthy eating. The Skyr sauce contains herbs.
Appel said the product is targeting 'a young, health-conscious' consumer through its 'contemporary design' and 'striking colours'.
Appel herring in Skyr sauce is due to go on sale on 15 April throughout Germany.
Kefir drink and snack maker Biotiful Dairy is launching a 'first of its kind' Kefir Cheese in the UK.
The company is rolling out three all-natural savoury flavours; Original, Herb & Garlic and Red Pepper & Cumin.
The company has secured listings in Sainsbury's and Waitrose.
Positioned as a healthier and tastier alternative for cottage or cream cheese, Biotiful Kefir Cheese is a cultured soft cheese made with British milk and authentic Kefir cultures, which contain 'billions of gut-friendly bacteria', protein and calcium. It is also low in calories, at 30 calories per 30 g serving, and fat, at 0.3g or less per serving.
Founder and Biotiful Dairy entrepreneur Natasha Bowes said: “We are really excited to be bringing our expertise in gut health to a new category with the launch of our ground-breaking Kefir Cheese. The soft cheese category has been crying out for innovation, and we have the right product range to bring excitement to shoppers, who are looking for better nutrition, coupled with great flavour in a convenient format. The Jordans & Ryvita Company, a division of Associated British Foods, is launching four new types of Jordans Granola Crunchy Muesli to the German market.
The varieties include berry, chocolate, nut and strawberry. According to the company, each variety contains 'high-quality wholegrain oat flakes' that are baked until they are crispy and golden brown.
The new products are made without genetic engineering, colouring, preservatives and artificial flavours.
Lucozade Ribena Suntory has added to its range of Lucozade Energy drinks with the launch of a new Citrus Chill variety. The lemon and lime flavour is available in 380ml price-marked (PMP) and standard packs.
It joins the existing range of Lucozade Energy flavours.
Zoe Trimble, head of marketing at Lucozade, said: “We know new Lucozade Energy flavours drive excitement with consumers looking for new tastes from a brand they trust.
“The launch of Lucozade Energy Watermelon & Strawberry last year is proof of that, having delivered more than 15% of Lucozade Energy 380ml PMP flavour sales in symbol and independent stores in 2019.
“We’re confident Citrus Chill will follow this pattern and bring new users into the Lucozade Energy brand, which we expect to be especially popular during the summer months due to its refreshing taste."
Cheese brands Boursin is rolling out Boursin Inspiration, a range that takes inspiration from international flavours.
Launching this April, Boursin said that the new additions aim to cater to consumer demand for 'sensory experiences' and 'world cuisine'. It will include two varieties: Boursin Inspiration India and Boursin Inspiration Mexico.
