Vion makes new addition to supervisory board

Martine Snels is a member of the supervisory board of Electrolux Professional AB (Sweden) and Resilux NV (Belgium). During her international career in the food and agri sector, she has been a member of the executive board of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft and FrieslandCampina and held various leadership positions at Nutreco and Kemin Industries Ltd.

Chairman of the supervisory board Theo Koekkoek said: “We are delighted to welcome Martine Snels as a new member of the supervisory board of Vion. Her extensive international experience in the food and agri sector, particularly in Germany, is of added value to the supervisory board.”​

Vion also announced that Tom Heidman has decided to step down as a member of the supervisory board later this year. Heidman has been a member of the supervisory board since May 2014 and acted as interim CEO of Vion for a brief period in 2015.

Tom Heidman has played an important role in the development of Vion with his extensive commercial knowledge and extensive managerial experience. As of 3 July 2020, the Vion supervisory board will consist of: chairman Theo Koekkoek, Marieke Bax, Hans Huijbers, Rogier Jacobs, Ton van der Laan and Martine Snels.
