Glenmorangie venture to bottle Drambuie Cream
Glenmorangie's Broxburn plant is to begin bottling Drambuie Cream,
a new brand which has seen substantial growth since its UK launch.
Glenaird, the joint venture between Scottish companies Glenmorangie and Drambuie, is to begin bottling the latter's eponymous cream liqueur brand at Broxburn, a production facility owned by the whisky maker.
It is now a year since the two companies announced the creation of their joint venture, which covers all aspects of Drambuie production from sourcing to bottling, warehousing and logistics.
Both parties have benefited from the venture, with Glenmorangie able to improve capacity usage at the Broxburn plant while Drambuie has been able to substantially streamline its operations.
Paul Neep, chief executive of Glenmorangie, said: "We are pleased to be entering into a further phase of our joint venture with Drambuie. During the first year, the Drambuie production process has been fully integrated into the Broxburn site and is delivering the planned benefits for both parties. Maximising the full potential of our assets remains an important focus for the company."
Commenting on the development of Drambuie Cream, the cream liqueur variant of Drambuie launched a couple of years ago, Stuart Jeffray, corporate affairs director at Drambuie, said: "We are delighted that Glenaird has been a success and that Drambuie Cream will be bottled at Broxburn. This coincides with the wider launch of Cream with a new advertising campaign in the UK through our new distributors, Bacardi-Martini. Drambuie Cream is also performing well in its other launch markets Greece, Australia and the Netherlands."
