Chr. Hansen reorganises regional management structure

Chr. Hansen has reshuffled its regional structure in an effort to be closer to customers, the company has said.

Until now, the company was organised into four regions: South America, North America, Europe and APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa). The company has decided to streamline this to three regions: EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Americas, and APAC (Asia Pacific).

CEO Cees de Jong said: “We match regions that are closer to each other geographically and also to a large extent commercially when it comes to customer lay-out, buying habits and consumer preferences. For instance in North-, Central- and South America we see growing interaction between the regions and consumer demand for regional availability of products they are accustomed to from their home markets.”

Each region will be headed by a group vice president who will report directly to de Jong.Regional vice president for EMEA is Jacob Vishof Paulsen; David Carpenter is vice president for  the Americas; and Sten Estrup is vice president for the APAC region.“We strengthen our customer-centric approach and move regional commercial decision making and corporate leadership closer,” de Jong said.
