Australia’s Jack Creek retained the title of the World’s Best Steak Producer at World Steak Challenge at yesterday’s GlobalMeatNews event held in London’s Hyde Park.

Entered by Albers GMBH and produced by Jack’s Creek of Australia, the award-winning steak was ranked top of 83 steaks, across 17 countries as far afield as Argentina, Japan, Poland and New Zealand.

The event was an undisputed success with hundreds of industry leaders, including the Australian government and UK supermarket Morrisons, praising the competition in its mission to find the world’s greatest sirloin steak.

Overall, nine gold awards were dished out – including two for Northern Ireland’s Hannan Meats, three for Australian steak producers and two for Scottish steaks. You can see a full list of winners here.

World Steak Challenge is kindly supported by our reception sponsor Wagyu Japanese Beef and official supplier Beefsteak Club.
