The foundation for a Weng Fat Poultry site in Skenderaj, Kosovo has been laid.

Fadil Nura, deputy mayor of Skenderaj welcomed the operator to the area and said that all local institutions were ready to work with the investors from Germany. He stressed how important the creation of new jobs was for the area and welcomed the investment in Skenderaj.

Mu Phung, representing Weng Fat Poultry, expressed gratitude for the opportunities offered by the Skenderaj municipality in facilitating business registration procedures and the provision of conditions for investments in Kosovo. He noted that
this is “only the first step of investment”​ as the company’s shareholders are interested in the expansion of activity in the field of breeding geese.

The site is expected to create 70 jobs for the area. The facility is expected to cost one million euro and the produce processed there is to be exported to the EU.
