Novolyze is among six start-ups which will present at an event in New York next week.

The firm develops and manufactures dry and ready to use surrogate microorganisms to help companies, labs and equipment manufacturers do in-plant safety validation studies.

Future Food Tech NYC from 5-9 June will showcase and present six food technology start-ups.

These companies are part of Le Food Tech Lab, a training program that provides a route to market for French food technology companies looking to develop in the US.

Le Food Tech Lab is run by Business France, the trade agency supporting the international development of the French economy.

It aims at raising awareness about challenges such as sustainability, traceability, food safety, transparency of the supply chain and food waste management.

The other start-ups are Biotraq, CuddlUp, Yooji, Foodvisor and Tassiopée.

Biotraq helps food professionals reduce waste and improve traceability of their products thanks to connected sensors.

Foodvisor has developed proprietary algorithms to detect every food item in a picture, evaluate the servings and estimate the nutritional facts in it.

Start-ups were selected by personalities in the American food industry, including editors from The Los Angeles and New York Times, CEOs of startups and food specialists.

A launch party and shark tank will be on 6 June from 6-9pm in New York. This event is organized with Vitagora, a French food innovation cluster and creator of AcceleRise, the European business acceleration program for FoodTech/AgTech entrepreneurs.
