Brew Tea Co. has teamed up with the Camden Watch Company to produce loose leaf tea.
The Camden Watch Company, founded by husband-and-wife team Anneke Short and Jerome Robert, is releasing a blend of Assam and Lapsang Souchong reminiscent of a lost world of canal workers, railway men and aristocrats. The tea is a tribute to industrial 1800s Camden, where workers would take tea breaks to keep them alert and to ensure their hunger remained at bay.
They had the idea for the tea when they were designing workers’ mugs. Wanting to offer tea from the mugs, they decided the best thing to do would be to make it themselves.
“We got in touch with our friends over at Brew Tea Co. and they loved the idea,” said Short. “After months of blending, tasting, designing labels and sipping on cups of tea, we finally have our very own signature blend. So we present to you the Worker’s Blend loose leaf tea. 80% Assam and 20% Lapsang Suchoung, it’s smoky, rich and oh so Camden.”
Price: £9.50 per packet.

Challenger brand Pukpip will release a white chocolate version of its chocolate-covered frozen bananas.
The white chocolate version, which has hints of vanilla, is only 152 calories, as well as a great source of fibre and potassium. There’s nothing artificial in the snack.
Frozen food – which helps reduce waste and preserve nutrients – is seeing strong popularity at the moment. With its frozen bananas, which in many ways are a healthy alternative to ice cream, Pukpip is taking advantage of that trend.
Another key trend – sustainability – is also important to Pukpip, which upcycles its banana skins back into the ecosystem.
“Our consumer research indicated a demand for frozen snacks that combine a balance of whole fruit with a bit of indulgence,” said Zara Godfrey, Managing Director at Pukpip, “but now the products are in bricks and mortar stores the response has been incredible.
“Our stockists have said that they are flying out of the freezers and consumer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are delighted to be able to add the White Chocolate Dipped Frozen Bananas to the range, which is set to have wide appeal for kids and grown-ups alike.”
Pukpip’s frozen bananas available in multipacks of 3 at an RRP of £3.99, singles coming soon.

Personalised nutrition brand Vitl has began stocking its vitamin and protein bars in Spars and WHSmith’s Travel’s across the UK. This is its first in-store retail launch.
Vitl’s three flavours – Energy, Glow and Focus – are each abundant in vitamins and nutrients such as magnesium and zinc. Each bar contains 14g of protein. They are also low in sugar, and only contain 143 calories each.
However, each bar is unique as well, containing its own combination of vitamins and nutrients, and its own flavour.
“We are proud to be launching our range of Vitamin & Protein Bars into convenience retailers this summer,” said Charles Stiles, Retail lead at Vitl.
“We have seen a boom in the expansion of the healthy snacking category over recent years, and believe Vitl bars will drive incremental sales to the fixture by recruiting shoppers seeking different functional health benefits in their snack offer, but not willing to compromise on indulgent taste.”
RRP from £2.49 per bar.

Crafted from faba, pea and pumpkin seed proteins, they ensure a complete and balanced amino acid profile. They’re good for people seeking fitness or even simply health, and can help recovery after workout, boosting energy levels and muscle growth.

Made from Glera grape, which is well-known for its use in prosecco, the alcohol-free wine brand Sea Change is full of flavour, with hints of apple, elderflower and mint within the drink.
It only has 27 calories per each 100ml serving, and contains no artificial flavourings or colours.
The process with which Sea Change is made is different to that of most alcohol-free wines. While most are made the same as normal wine, with the alcohol later chemically removed, Sea Change’s grapes are picked early and chilled, which means they never ferment.
This results in an alcohol content that really is 0%, unlike other brands, many of which have some lasting residues of alcohol content.
The company has raised €350,000 (£300,000) for marine conservation and the fight against plastic pollution.

When the UK government banned plastic straws, they didn’t do the same for the packaging, which meant that many paper straws were still packaged in plastic.
However, that hasn’t stopped cold pressed fruit juice brand Flawsome! packaging its straws in paper, in a first for kids’ brands in the UK. Now the whole product can be recycled.
The brand’s new range includes three flavours: Apple, Mango & Orange; Sweet Apple and Apple & Sour Cherry.
The brand is already committed to sustainability, and has saved 252kg of plastic, with 50% lower carbon emissions than the average small fruit juice company. It also only uses ‘wonky’ fruit for its fruit drinks, meaning it saves food from being wasted.
“We’re really excited to finally introduce both our new range of Wonky Fruit Water Drinks and revolutionary paper straw in paper packaging,” said Karina Sudenyte, Co-Founder of Flawsome!
“We pride ourselves on being innovators within sustainability and prioritise this throughout the business. The new range will join our current products in providing children and families with healthy, delicious and affordable options for fruit drinks while ensuring today’s children have a planet to enjoy as they grow up.”
