Loose leaf Worker’s Tea from Camden Watch Company and Brew Tea Co.
Brew Tea Co. has teamed up with the Camden Watch Company to produce loose leaf tea.
The Camden Watch Company, founded by husband-and-wife team Anneke Short and Jerome Robert, is releasing a blend of Assam and Lapsang Souchong reminiscent of a lost world of canal workers, railway men and aristocrats. The tea is a tribute to industrial 1800s Camden, where workers would take tea breaks to keep them alert and to ensure their hunger remained at bay.
They had the idea for the tea when they were designing workers’ mugs. Wanting to offer tea from the mugs, they decided the best thing to do would be to make it themselves.
“We got in touch with our friends over at Brew Tea Co. and they loved the idea,” said Short. “After months of blending, tasting, designing labels and sipping on cups of tea, we finally have our very own signature blend. So we present to you the Worker’s Blend loose leaf tea. 80% Assam and 20% Lapsang Suchoung, it’s smoky, rich and oh so Camden.”
Price: £9.50 per packet.
